Objectives:
The student produces writing that establishes an appropriate organizational structure, sets a context and engages the reader, maintains a correct focus throughout, and provides a satisfying closure.
The student demonstrates competence in a variety of genres. (personal narrative)
The student identifies and uses the eight basic parts of speech and demonstrates that words can be different parts of speech within a sentence. (adjectives)
We will finish our presentations in class on Monday and then continue our adjective review. Our MAP tests were not available on our testing date this past week, so we will need to MAP test on Tuesday. We will review
nouns, pronouns, and adjectives throughout the week and have a unit test on Thursday if I feel that the students are ready. If not - we will test on Friday.
