Overall, the first semester went very well and I look forward to the same outcome during the second semester.
The ongoing home activity for each student is to stay active. Power walking, swimming, jogging, biking, and hiking are examples of activities the student can participate in at least three days per week for a minimum of thirty minutes each time.
Since we are on an A/B block schedule, students will participate in P.E. every other school day for eighty minutes. During the first six weeks of the semester, students will participate in health-related fitness activities to include fitness testing, weight training and a jump rope unit. Students will also prarticipate in large group rhythmic and other skill-related game activities.
During the second and third six weeks of the semester, students will participate in various health-related fitness activities as well as participate in skill-related activities such as soccer, golf, tennis, pickle ball, and volleyball.
Please note that students are required to dress out daily for physical education classes.
