OBJECTIVES:
The student produces writing that establishes an appropriate organizational structure, sets a context and engages the reader, maintains a coherent focus throughout, and provides a satisfying closure.

The student demonstrates competence in a variety of genres (technical writing).

The student identifies and uses the eight basic parts of speech and demonstrates that words can be different parts of speech within a sentence (prepositions).

  
HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS ARE FOR THE WEEK OF October 6-10:

MONDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2008 - Finish workbook p.55 and add all prepositions to prepositional art activity.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2008 - Finish writing activity - Write directions from the classroom to media center and from the classroom to the cafeteria.  Use prepositional phrases.  Draw map to go with your map.
Quiz over prepositions Thursday.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2008 - Finish Holt Handbook p.66 exercise 12.  Study for prepositions quiz Thursday.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2008 - No Homework.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2008 - Finish Journal.
