We completed a few activities for Section 15.2 and have worked on 15.3 this past week. This week, we will continue to study World War II though a multi-station group activity involving video, audio, primary and secondary sources. This will last approximately four days.

The plan of action for our fifteenth week in Social Studies is as follows:

Monday, November 16
AIM: WWII Stations
Homework: Finish up your assignments from the 2 stations you worked today.
Lesson Steps:
1)    CRCT 15.1
2)    Finish up and turn in Section 3 Review pg. 360 #1-5 AND the define/identify
3)    Split into groups and begin the World War II Stations activity:
•    Station #1-The Biography Channel (Hitler, Franco, Mussolini, Chamberlain, Churchill, Petain)
•    Station #2-The Biography Channel (FDR, Chiang Kai-Shek, Mao Tsetung, Hirohito, Stalin)
•    Station #3-Rise of the Nazi Party & the Holocaust
•    Station #4-Hitler Prepares for War: Nazi Blitzkrieg
•    Station #5-Allies on the Offensive (Battle of Midway, Trapping of the Desert Fox, Battle of Stalingrad, D-Day Invasion)
•    Station #6-December 7, 1941: Japan Bombs Pearl Harbor
•    Station #7-President Truman’s Decision: Atomic Bombs are Dropped on Hiroshima & Nagasaki
