English Class:
Grammar Topic- review types of nouns
Vocabulary
Every week the students will be given vocabulary words on Monday and there will be a test on Friday. Each Monday night the homework is to write their words and definitions a total of five times each. On Tuesday night the homework assignment is to write each vocabulary word in a sentence. Wednesday night the assignment is to make flashcards. Thursday night the homework is to study for the vocabulary test.
Journals
The students will also have daily journal entries. The journals will remain in class and be graded each Friday.
Homework
Always check your childs agenda for the homework assignment. There is weekly vocabulary homework. Other homework depends upon the current class topic.
Skills Class
This class adresses different subject matter weekly. This class will also be used to help clarify any material that your child has difficulty with from other classes.

Monday - math
Tuesday - Science in the News
Wednesday - Literature and/or vocabulary flashcards
Thursday - Social Studies
Friday - Organizational and/or study skills
