1. State the characteristics of solutions, colloids and suspensions.
2. Describe what happens to the particles of a solute when a solution forms.
3. Explain how solutes affect the freezing point and boiling point of a solvent.

Tuesday: Study Guide
Wednesday:  Study for Chapter Test
Thursday: Chapter 8 Section 1 - 20 facts

Science Fair Assignment Dates:

October 27th: Topic chosen and tentative experimental plan written...we will discuss topics in class.

October 27th - Nov 9th: Research topic - 100 index cards from 5 sources (1 encyclopedia - electronic or hard-back - may be used)

November 10th: Hypothesis, Purpose, Materials and Procedures due - final experimentation plan written up and approved - all forms due.

November 11th - 30th: Experiments

November 13th: Review of Literature/References due

December 1st: Analyze data, start writing paper - design tri-board

December 10th - Projects due in class.
