Welcome to Midland Middle School. I would like to briefly explain our policies and procedures.
Classroom rules
1. Listen carefully and follow directions the first time they are given.
2. Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak.
3. Stay in your seat unless you have permission to do otherwise.
4. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
5. Respect yourself and others.
6. Stay on Task.
7. Neither gum nor candy is allowed.
8. Stay quiet and in line in the hallway.
Class procedures.
Class will begin each day with a do now posted on the board. The do nows are sentences which the students should copy and correct on their own paper. The sentences for the week should be done on the same sheet of paper to be turned in on Friday. While students are doing the do now, I will be checking roll and homework.
We will be working on reading, writing, and grammar skills. The lesson steps and homework will be posted on the board.
We will check the do nows and proceed with the lesson steps. I will dismiss the students at the end of class.
