Go to "go.hrw.com".  The keyword for each chapter of the text is on the first page of the chapter OR use "MR7 TOC" to get the table of contents.  Click on Homework Help.  The problems will be displayed by section of the text.  You can access explanations and view tutorial videos.

Math Map Test This Week in Math Class

September 8-12
1st Period  Math Class    
Bell Work-Fractions-Adding, Subtracting, and GCF.  
Students will find the mean, median, mode, and range for a set of data.  Additional Data and Outliers, Bar Graphs, Line Plots, Frequency Tables, and Hisograms will also be introduced.  These are found in sections 6-2 to 6-5 in the math book.

3rd Period Math Skills/Enrichment
Math Journal
Accelerated Math Diagnostic Test and Star Math Test
Students will be working on adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals.

4th Period Math Class
Music Survey Project and #1 Suduko Puzzle due on Friday.
Students will continue to work on Displaying Data.  Introduce ordered pairs, line graphs, and misleading graphs Sections 6-6 to 6-8 in math book.

5th Period Math Skills/Enrichment
Math Journal
Accelerated Math Diagnostic Test and Star Math Test
Students will be working on adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals.  Students will also work on their Logic and Suduko puzzles.

7th Period Skills

August 18-22

Monday-Wedneday

Students completed the Pretest out of the Coach Book.
Students were also given a handout listing Procedures.  Procedure Quiz on Friday for 1st and 3rd periods.  Bell Work Quiz on Friday for 1st Period.

1st Period  Review sheet for homework.
3rd Perioid TAG Activity today.  Started introducing Chapter 6 in textbook.  Enrichment sheet given to students.

August 11-15

First Week of School
Students were given a parent letter (purple) as well as a class syllabus (green).  Please review these two handouts with your child.

All math classes went over the Parent/Student Arnold Handbook.  We also talked about procedures, rules, dress code and expectations for 6th graders.

Students were assigned books on Friday.  All students received the following books.

Literature (fairly new)
Social Studies (1 year old)
Math (New)
Math Coach Book (1 year old)
Science (old-should be replaced next year.)
Holt Handbook (Magnet Classes only)

All math students will receive a math consumable workbook and a CRCT consumable workbook.
