Classwork:
Math:
We start Ch.4 This week. It is the opener chapter for our Fractions chapter. We will also start our Divisibility Project on Monday.
Language Arts:
We will discuss how it is a REQUIREMENT for every student to read 7 AR books this nine weeks and take test on them. They will also be required to turn in a book report on each book that they read.
We will also begin our unit on Public Speaking.
We will also be working in our Grammar Books this week..

Homework:
Purpose of Homework
Homework will be an important extension of the activities and lessons I have taught in the classroom.   It will consist of meaningful homework assignments that reinforce what your child has learned.  It will also provide for practice of skills and application of principles that students  have learned and reviewed in the classroom.

I give homework EVERY Tuesday night and it is ALWAYS due on Thursday at the Beginning of class. If the student does not turn in their homework assignment on Thursday then they will not be aloud to participate in "Fun Friday".

HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT THIS WEEK
MATH
Work on your Divisibility project.

LANGUAGE ARTS
Grammar Exercises

Extra Credit:
My extra credit works as follows:
We have various sporting events throughout the year. If your child attends the sporting events and comes and lets me know that they are there I will give them 5 extra homework/classwork points!

Fun Friday:
Every other Friday I allow the students to pick a fun and educational activity to do on Friday if they have completed all of their work all week. Also they have to have kept a good dicipline record all week. If they have not then they will either make up the work that they have not completed or either copy a dicipline paragraph several times.

Character Word of the Month: RESPONSIBILITY: doing your best and taking ownership of your words and actions!

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me via email!

Have a GREAT week!
