Just a short note. Please have your child bring all text books they still have to school with them Monday. Thank you.

Notes were sent home to inform you of the "Puberty Class" which will be taught Thursday. I will teach the boys and Dr. Tharp and Ms. Skibbe will teach the girls. This is not "sex education." The purpose of the class is to 1) give students an understanding of the changes in their bodies during puberty, and, 2) to teach the importance of hygiene - i.e. showers and deodorent. There will not be anything taught that will go against any moral training in your home. Any questions from students that are outside of this scope will be referred back to the home.
Students will be given a booklet and deodorent. There are different books for boys and girls. You may wish to use these booklets as a starting point for a more detailed talk with your child.
The teacher materials, which match the student's booklet, are available to parents who would like to examine them.
Student booklets will not go home until Friday or Monday.
