SchoolNotes.com - Linking Educators to the Community
I will be sending emailed progress reports to everyone as soon as I receive the administrative upload of addresses.  Those that have sent me their email address through Schoolnotes will be receiving one tomorrow.

Your child will become a more responsible student when they are held accountable.  It is for this reason, I have very strict grading policies and high expectations for my students.  I have explained repeatedly and in detail my policies and expectations. Here are some of the policies discussed:

If a student fails to place their name on an assignment, it will be thrown in the garbage.  I will not track down students to identify papers.

If a student fails to head their paper correctly, 10 points will be deducted from their grade.

If a student fails to turn in an assignment, they will receive an automatic zero.  Late assignments will only be accepted the next school day.  Late assignments will receive a twenty point grade deduction.

Students will have 3 days to complete missing assignments after returning from an excused absence.  It is the responsibility of the student to acquire the information needed to complete the assignments and give the assignments to the teacher.

We have begun working on Unit 1: Data Analysis.  Homework on 8/25 was to think of possible survey questions to present for my approval.  We will conduct our surveys after we have practiced our techniques.

Once our surveys have been completed, we will graph our results using computer software.  This project and a related project will be 20% of this 9 weeks grade.
