Summaries should be 75-100 words.  Bring library books and literature books daily!

September 4, 2008-Study review questions and terms for the test tomorrow!  Bring your "egg" if you did not turn it in today!  Read and bring your library books tomorrow.

If your class has not checked out books, read a book from home or go to the library(check on Destiny for a DCMS AR book when you get there)and find a good book on your level.

     Have a safe, fun holiday!

August 26, 2008- Homework: 1st and 3rd periods, correct tests and have them signed tonight.  Several students have requested extra credit work.  Three topics that anyone may research are mongooses, cobras, or poisonous snakes of our region(15-20 facts written in notetaking style and the source of your information).  You may also bring the print out from the Internet, but that will not count as a report.  Reports must be presented orally or in the form of a "show me" (mini) poster. This extra credit work may total more than one extra homework grade.  This extra credit is due no later than Tuesday, September 2. See Ms. Baxter if you are interested!

Homework:  1-  Write a journal entry entitled "The First Day of 7th Grade" (100+ words).  This could be about one part of your day, your feelings (and maybe how they changed--or proved true), about new friends/old friends, just one aspect of this day, or a "run-down" of the whole day.  You decide!
2- Have your "letter to parents/guardians" signed. Remember that these assignments will count as two homework grades (on time= 100 points, late work= 70 points). The journal entry is a rough draft, but remember to have someone proofread your journal entry. Start the year off right by completing all assignments on time! Keep up the great attention and polite conduct you showed today!  Good job!
