Language Arts-Students are to read their library books 30 minutes tonight, Tuesday night, and Wednesday night, write a brief summary in their own words (35-50 words, giving only main events), and have a parent or guardian sign this summary. This assignment will be recorded daily, beginning on Tuesday or Wednesday, and students will continue to write summaries on the same sheet. Students should bring their fiction and nonfiction books to class each day for independent reading and writing activities on the elements of literature.
The Social Studies Fair is coming soon! Students not are required to complete a project, but may do so to gain extra credit. Outstanding projects will be entered in the school district competition. Interested students will ask parents/guardians to read and sign the requirements/instructions handout for projects and reports this week. Parents/guardians may email or call Ms. Baxter for ffurther information concerning the Social Studies Fair.
