Parents- students will need a book cover, a three ring notebook, paper, pen and pencil, glue, and colored pencils for this class. We received brand new books last year. Our department decided to have students either purchase book covers or use something like a paper bag to cover their textbooks. I have a template on paper bags in my room which a student can use to make a book cover.
Students will also be given a Paperback workbook "Active Reading Note-Taking Guide" they will write answers to questions in this daily for homework. They must keep this because if it is lost I CAN NOT give them another workbook.
Students can go online to civ.glencoe.com where there is a copy of the student book, review quiz sections and other ways to help them learn the material. If they want to read the student text-book on-line they must use the following codes- Username CT2005, password- 45rutapr (they will use the 2005 textbook edition).
Thank you!
Parents-If you have old magazines you no longer want we can use them in our classroom. Students who don't feel comfortable drawing pictures may cut out pictures for assignments.
*Parents/Students-I am sorry for not updating school notes more quickly this week. I did type them on Monday but there was some kind of glitch which occurred as I was saving the information. It did not save what I had typed. I thought I would get to it later and then had to be out two days due to illness.
