Dear Parents and Students No-School 2-11 thur 2-15 (Winter Break):)  School will began again on 2-16.

Parents and Students,If this is your first time.....

I would like to welcome all of you to Fort Middle School,school notes.com.  My name is Jacqueline Bruce.  In my Co-taught classes I will be teaching Language Arts and Social Studies.  Also, a great asscess to our classes is Mrs. Clayborn; she will also assist in teaching your children in the Co-taught classes. I have 10 years of teaching experience and I have taught 6th grade through 8th grade Regular/Inclusion classes in Special Education. I am really excited about this school year. I am looking forward to working with you and your children.

Below is a list of my classroom rules and behavior procedures that must be followed in order to have a productive and safe year.  This is the first year in "Middle School"for your 6th. grader ,and I know that there will be lots of changes, challenges, and an overwhelming load of new information for you and your children.  I encourage all of you to stay in touch with me.  My goal is to get to know all of you as soon as possible.  I want you to feel free to contract me via e-mail (jbruce@mcsdga.net) or through schoolnotes.com at any time.  I will send more information on schoolnotes.com.

CLASSROOM RULES:

1. Be prepared to enter the classroom with a positive attitude. Cooperate with the teacher and classmates.
2.  Bring your AGENDA BOOK Everyday.  You will copy your homework every day in your Agenda Notebook.
3.  Be Kind to others and respect everyone's
4.  Keep your hands to yourself.  
5.  Be responsible for your actions.  Be honest and trustworthy.
6.  Take care of the things in the classroom.
7.  Get permission from the teacher before leaving the classroom.
8.  Raise your hand before speaking and.

1st. period, Practice work will come from the CRCT Coach workbook.

2nd. period Language Arts.-see Mrs. Thornton schoolnotes.  This week we are working on the 8 Parts of Speech. Students are to read each night,and parents please sign your child's Reading Logs.

3rd. Language Arts.-see Mrs. Hirsch schoolnotes.  This week we are working on the 8 Parts of Speech.

4th. period Social Studies.-see Mrs. J.Smith schoolnotes. Our class is reading and discussing chapter 10,Caribbean South America section 2 and 3. The class is also working on a project on assigned Countries, more will follow about the project.  

5th. period Planning

6th. period Language Arts. -see Mrs. Thornton schoolnotes.com.  Class-(same as above).


Fort Middle school students with special needs are working toward the Georgia Performance Standards at the 6th.,7th., 8th. grade level with appropriate grade level work. Each student have their own Individual Education Plan.

Students will do well when they study.  Thank you parents, for all that you do.
