Math will begin with a review of one-step and two-step equations. We will then continue with coordinate pairs (x,y) and how to plot them on a coordinate plane or graph. This information will be used to construct a line graph of an equation and students will learn how to create tables for given equations.
Students will continue to work on Accelerated Math for homework. Working on these practices is a very important part of the math curriculum and students will be assigned this for homework every night during the week.
In social studies students will begin a study of the continent of Africa. Look for information to come home soon concerning the PRAISE project.
Saturday school will be held every Saturday through March with the exception of the Saturdays that precede holidays (Jan. 16, Feb. 20). Tutoring is also being offered by the math department on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I will have tutoring for my students on Wednesdays until 4:15.
If you have questions about any of these programs, please feel free to contact me through this website.
