Study on Thurs. night for Friday's weekly test on misplaced modifiers
Due Friday: 5 paragrpah essay on: Three Movies With Powerful Themes I Have Seen
Standards: Reading grade level appropriate books
Identifying and correctly placing misplaced modifiers into the correct places
Writing a coherent essay
Activities: Read in our class novel, Homeless Birds. 2. Apply figurative language to text read.
3. Work on misplaced modifiers. 4. Write essay due on Friday. ( use writing checklist) Strive for 5 sentences per paragraph for a grade of an A.
Evaluation: Weekly quiz; A.R. points earned; Grade on misplaced modifiers
On Wed. I will be away from campus in a training session for teachers.
Ms.Knight asked me to keep students in the classroom unless it is a dire emergency . Please remind your child of this because there's too much hall traffic; tell them to always have AR book, pen or pencil, and paper for class.
