We are continuing through our keyboarding program each day.
We are continuing our study of Microsoft Word. Students have created a table, a flyer, an MLA-style report, and will conclude with a Personal Business Letter.
SEVENTH GRADE
We are working on their Movie Maker projects and have put aside our keyboarding for a few days. Students hopefully will be finishing up these projects during this short week so that we can begin Excel when we return from winter break.
EIGHTH GRADE
Students have finished their unit on MLA-style reports and all of the related parts.
We are now using MS-Word to do some desktop publishing. Students will create several flyers, letterhead stationery, etc. using this program.
GEORGIA PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Students will develop keyboarding skills by touch with speed and accuracy. (6, 7, 8)
Students will acquire basic knowledge and skills of multimedia presentation software. (7)
Students will utilize word processing software. (6, 8)
