Students are continuing to learn to keyboard. They are doing a very good job!
We are also working on our "All About Me" PowerPoint slideshows. Students may bring in pictures from home for extra credit if they would like. We will watch these at the end of the week.
SEVENTH GRADE
We are continuing through our keyboarding program.
We are finishing up watching our Career PowerPoint slideshows, and the students have done a great job on these!
We will begin our study of Microsoft Excel this week. Students will learn the basics of formatting spreadsheets and will complete a new spreadsheet each day for a grade.
EIGHTH GRADE
We have finished our study of Microsoft Word. Our next software will be Microsoft Excel. Students will learn the basics of creating spreadsheets by completing several assignments.
We will also take a speed test this week.
GEORGIA PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Students will develop keyboarding skills by touch with speed and accuracy (6, 7, 8).
Students will demonstrate basic knowledge of multimedia presentation software. (6)
Students will develop and apply basic spreadsheet skills. (7, 8)
