Students are continuing to learn to keyboard. They are doing a very good job!
We will watch the last few PowerPoints at the beginning of the week. They did a great job on these.
We'll then move on to Microsoft Word; students will learn to format a report, a letter, a flyer and a table. Hopefully, they will learn some of the basic features of this software.
SEVENTH GRADE
We are continuing through our keyboarding program.
We are working on our Excel spreadsheet unit. Next week, we'll cover graphs and charts and sorting. This will be helpful to them in completing their Science Fair projects.
EIGHTH GRADE
We are continuing our study of Excel spreadsheets. Next week we'll cover graphs/charts and sorting.
We will also take a speed test in their keyboarding program this week.
GEORGIA PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Students will develop keyboarding skills by touch with speed and accuracy (6, 7, 8).
Students will utilize word processing software (6).
Students will develop and apply basic spreadsheet skills. (7, 8)
