Week of January 26

Intro to Fashion Marketing, 1st Block
    - This week we will explore the nature of fashion.  We will take fashion personality tests to see how fashionable we truely are.  Students will also be presented a challenge.  Students will design 3 outfits using three words that they chose that represents their personal style.  

We will also begin our study on the fashion cycle and trends in fashion industry.  We will look at the fashion cycles for different type of clothing (High Fashion, Fads, Classics, etc)

Friday will be a fun fashion challenge.  Students will have to create a futuristic High Fashion look using only kitchen materials.  It is sure to be a blast into the future.  Their looks should represent what the future of fashion will be.  

Entrepreneurship, 2nd Block
    - This week we will be studying basic concepts leading to the success of enterpreneurs.  We will be studying the characteristics and skills needed to run a business and we will be looking at successful enterpreneurs to learn what they believe made them so successful.  

Students will be completing the Famous Entrepreneur Project.  Due Friday! :)

Sports and Entertainment Marketing, 3rd Block:
    - Continuing our study into the ethical dilemma's within the sports and entertainment industries. Will be using the Pete Rose dilemma as a example for study.  

We will also be capitalizing on the biggest marketing event in January/February.. The SUPER BOWL.  Students will jump into the study of the Super Bowl as a marketing strategy.  We will be reading current events, analyzing previous commercials for successfulness, and also looking at the effects super bowl advertising has on teen health.
