Dear Parents,

Your sons and/or daughters are learning about Genetics:  The Science of Heredity. Some questions that they should be able to answer are listed below.
                       Section 1
1. What were the results of Mendel's experiments?
2. What controls the inheritence of traits in organ-
   isms?
                       Section 2
1. What is probability and how does it help explain
   the results of genetic crosses?
2. What is meant by genotype and phenotype?
3. What is codominance?
                       Section 3
1. What role do chromosomes play in inheritance?
2. What events occur during meiosis?
3. What is the relationship between chromosomes and
   genes?
                       Section 4
1. What forms the genetic code?
2. How does a cell produce proteins?
3. How can mutations affect an organism?

Assignments: (students should study 30 min. a day)
***All assignments are allowed to be made up if missing. I mention missing work by name atleast 4 out of 5 days a week.***
