The sixth grade staff at Blackmon Road Middle school would like to thank you so much for your continued support during the school year.
I know you were unsure about how your child would adjust to their first year in middle school, but after a few days they were use to their schedules, teachers and peers. Our goal was to help them to do their best at their potential and to even motivate them beyond their limits.
We were proud of how they responded to the task of doing their best on the CRCT Test. As a school, we scored very well.

We would like to introduce the support staff in your child’s class. Mr. Leonard Pittman is the Learning Support Specialist in Math and Social Studies. Mrs. Debbie McMillan is the Learning Support Specialist in Language Arts and Science. Mrs. Natalie Bowman is the Autistic Support Specialist. She is in and out of each classroom throughout the day. Mrs. Brannon is our Learning Support Paraprofessional. Mrs. Johnnie Baker is also a Learning Support Specialist that your child may see from time to time.
We would like to assure you that all accommodations have been thoroughly reviewed and are being implemented in the classroom. We are working hard at getting to know your child’s strengths and weaknesses; however, this takes a little time to do. Please allow us the first couple of weeks to know your child well; but if you have any problems or concerns please feel free to call or email any of the support staff that works with your child.
