We have moved on to chapter 16 China. To start the chapter students did an activity on the main religions in the area. Then we want to make a 3-D map of China to learn about the geography. We may need help with materials to do that, I will send a letter home with more details.
Students have been locating Southwest Asia countries on a map of Asia in their notebook. It is also located on page A17 in their social studies book. A fun way to identify the countries is using the website Ilike2learn.com. Have a contest to see who can get the most countries right! Make sure they study the map in their notebook, textbook, or Ilike2learn.com.
The wii tournament was a hit and we raised enough money for a class set! Thank you for all your help. Some students purchased their own book, if anyone is still interested let me know.
In ELT, the students made a newsletter of the activities they are doing in their classes and the standards they are learning. Take a look, it turned out great we are very proud of it!
