Please help keep the students of VMMS motivated to get their assignments done. I noticed grades are starting to drop. Lets work together on helping them succeed!
-We are going to talk about culture, economy, government and environment in Africa. As we talk about culture we will address each region: central, east, west, and north.
-We are still using the CRCT Prep books, which is a great way to prepare the students for the CRCT. I pick a section for students to read, that has to do with what we are doing in class, then students answer questions on what they read. Most of the grades from this nine weeks come from the book. If you would like to purchase one the cost is $10.00.
-Students have been locating the countries in Africa. It is also located on page 166 in their social studies book. A fun way to identify the countries is using the website Ilike2learn.com. Have a contest to see who can get the most countries right! Make sure they study the map in their notebook, textbook, or Ilike2learn.com.
-Time has flown by, for those of you that don't know I am due to have a baby 2/20. Mrs. Young will take over my class for 6 weeks. She is certified to teach social studies and very excitied about teaching the class.
