Lesson #33: Paul: The First Missionary
Memory Verse:
Review verses from last few lessons
Math
We have finished our formal math curriculum for the year. So, please don't be alarmed when you don't see the math worksheets coming home everyday. We will still be doing Math every day, but there won't be much that comes home.
I will review some of the more challenging lessons, and we will start applying what we've learned in our classroom during math time each day. For example, we're going to play "Time Bingo" (this will help us practice telling time on the hour and half hour), we'll set up our very own "Kinderbee Store" and buy and sell items using the coins we've learned (penny, nickel, dime and quarter), we're going to take class surveys and graph and interpret our results, and more. It should be lots of fun.
Language Arts
I am so pleased with the children's progress in Language Arts. If you haven't heard your child read lately...grab one of those decodables and let them show you what they can do! I am so excited at the progress that we are all making!
Don't forget... When the phonics worksheets come home each evening, please take the time to review them with your children. Also, remember to review the words in the box (at the bottom of each Phonics worksheet) each night. Plus, when the Phonics Reading Practice pages come home, please practice these and check them off as your child masters them, and then send it back. Take your time and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Are you all reading 5-10 minutes nightly at home? I know school is almost out for the summer, but I encourage each of you to continue reading with your child every night for a few minutes. We don't want them to lose any bit of what they've learned during summer break! Thanks for your continued support!
HERITAGE STUDIES/SCIENCE
"On The Pond" is where we are this last month of school. We are learning all about the life cycle of frogs and butterflies, and all of God's wonderful creatures that live in and around a pond. We're having lots of fun.
