-----++++++ Math & Science Update ---++++
We are beginning a new Math Unit dealing with shapes. Have your child look for shapes that can be found all around them. The term symmetry will be introduced and your child will be looking at different shapes to see if they have a line of symmetry. Also please continue to give your child activites using coins (making change, counting up to a certain amount). We have also been telling time. Ask your child from time to time what time is it?
In Science we will begin a new unit on Motion. This will cover pushes and pulls, gravity, and magnets. Magnets are so much fun, so if you have them pull them out and see what objects they attract or repel to. The words attract, repel, gravity, push, pull,and force are the vocabulary words your child will be exposed to in this unit.
