We are discussing the sequence of a story in reading. Have your child tell you what happens at the beginning of the story. How did the story end?
In Writing, we are continuing to work on Narrative Writing. By the end of the year, students are expected to write a story that has a beginnhing, middle and end. The story should be in logical order. The illustrations should match the text. Encourage your child to begin spelling phonetically. Have him/her write the sounds heard as he/she says a word.
In math we are continuing to work on graphing and patterning.
In Science we are discussing pushing and pulling. We will also discuss the way things move.
In Social Studies we are discussing things in the past and things in the present.
The very last day to turn in money for for field trip
is Wed. the 18th. I have to turn in a count to the ranch by the afternoon.
