The end of the school year is fast approaching. We are very busy. We hope everyone has a Happy Mother's Day. The children worked hard making "gifts of love". At this time we are assessing each of the students. It is very important that your child be in attendance unless he/she is sick. Even though the end is near, school is not over yet. Remember to review our reading words with your child nightly. Most of them are doing a great job. Several are continuing to have problems with the word family words. Remind your child to look carefully at each word. We've noticed some are missing simple words like "a" and "the" when we are doing our DRA's.
We are reviewing in writing. The children did an awesome job with Persuasive writing. They are good at begging. :) We're working on our portfolios that will be sent to first grade.
