*8th Grade
Exploring Production:
The text is the same as years past, emphasis graphics with some added materials, that are now required due to the end of year county test for electives.  Therefore Mon. thru Wed.; there will be academic work on text and workbook.  Thurs. and Fri. will be applied design.  The 8th grade will be the only grade level that will woodburn on wood and plexiglas.  There has been a problem with wood burning tip suppliers, which limits the amount of students able to wood burn. They are professional, safe, but delicate tips.  The tips run around $30 with shipping, so therefore the fee for 8th grade will be $15 for take home wood projects. As mentioned for the other grade levels, any donated design supplies will be greatly appreciated...especially wood,[ 8 x 10 or smaller, any thickness], wood glue, plexiglas, scroll saw blades, sealant, sand paper.
