Intropa has sent the Singers a new Italy itinerary.
Here is the link and passwords needed to log onto the site:
www.intropa.com > virtual passport > username: nhscnfl password: 3428pns > click on your group name in the upper left hand corner.
Once there, you will find a wealth of information to help you prepare for your trip.
The Niceville Italy Singers will rehearse on the following dates at 1:50PM in the chorus room:
Monday-Thursday, May 12-15
Wednesday-Thursday, May 21-22
Tuesday-Friday, May 27-30
The final scheduled rehearsal will be on Tuesday, June 3 at a special time - 12N - in the chorus room.
The rehearsals are mandatory for Italy travelers.
The Emerald Coast Choral Festival Committee is scheduled to meet next on Monday, May 19 at 6PM in the chorus room.
The final meeting meeting of all Italy travelers and parents has been rescheduled.
It will now take place at 5:00 PM, Friday, May 30 in the chorus room.
If you are going on the trip, this is a required meeting. Parent non-travelers are also welcome and encouraged to be at the meeting to "soak up" the information your child might miss.
The Niceville Singers will not rehearse on Friday, May 16 or on Friday, May 23.
Remember that there will be a holiday on Monday, May 26.
There will be no school as we remember those who given so much so we can enjoy singing and living in a free county.
Winn-Dixie Bluewater Bay grocery bagging dates for this summer include:
May 25th, June 28, July 3 and August 31.
Shift times are 10 AM to 2 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM.
A student working all of these baggings could earn a great percentage of the cost of their trip to Atlanta next April.
Niceville commencement exercises (graduation) will take place on Thursday, June 5 at 7PM.
PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED INFORMATION
The Niceville Singers and the Select Women have brought home the "Gold."
Both groups were awarded straight Superior ratings at the Florida Vocal Association's North State Music Performance Assessment on Thursday in Tallahassee.
Superior is the highest and most coveted score a judge can award a choir.
A Superior rating at the State level is especially prestigious.
During the last two years - the years Niceville resumed State participation - all Niceville choirs have earned straight Superior marks.
It has long been the philosophy of the Florida Vocal Association the its events are non-competitive, that qualifing to participate in State and then preparing and performing at the highest level possible - is winning in itself. The Niceville Choral Music Department has long shared this philosophy.
Congratulations to each singer in Singers and Select for working to produce music of the highest caliber at the high level of artistry. Niceville choral musicians are indeed some of the most accomplished in Florida.

Have you graduated?
Are you a girl who no longer needs her chorus dress?
Are you a boy who would like to sell your tuxedo so you can buy a larger size? Have you graduated and need to sell?
For the next two days you can bring your chorus dress or tuxedo to the chorus room to consign for sale.
The only way that your dress or tux will be accepted is:
a. you pin a self-addressed, stamped (.41) envelope onto the garment and,
b. you afix, in a very stable fashion, some other type of identification to each piece of the uniform you want sold.
Without the envelope and a way to positively identify the dress or tux, there is no reason to leave your uniform with the Chorus to sell.
Used dresses will be sold for $55. Used tuxedoes will be sold for $85.
PARENTS AND SINGERS CAN TRACK GRADES IN ALL NHS CLASSES. You can check grades by clicking here which will take you to the Niceville High School web-page. Or you can click here and go directly to the grades page. You must have the student ID number (from the last report card). The last 4 digits of that number is the PIN number.
GRADES ARE BEING POSTED DAILY. Parents are strongly encouraged to track their singer's grades in all of their classes. Home computers and the Internet give parents the ability to check grades at home, daily. Parents ... the day has passed when you cannot find out what your student was doing academically on a daily basis in chorus/school.
