Book project #3 is due May 28. A summer reading list was passed out in class today. There are two required books and one choice from a list provided. The list is also available on the communications portal found at the Academy's website under my name.

The directions are available on the communications portal found at the Academy's website. Students will be given time during Mr. Vickers' class as well as my class using laptops. If students are not able to complete the project during class time, it is considered homework.
Textbooks are due by Monday, May 18. There are no more homework assignments from the textbook.

Monday I gave students an up to date grade. It's on a little blue slip of paper which indicates the average in each category to better assist students in determining their weak area.
There is no homework over the winter holidays, but I would encourage reading as there will be a fiction book report due in late January. It will be on a fiction book of choice.

Grammar, Usage, & Mechanics (GUM) workbooks were given out in class today. We did a quick review of subjects and predicates. Homework is to do pages 2-8. The pages are due Thursday. Students may tear out the pages to bring to class and leave the workbook at home. I will be glad to issue a Language textbook to keep at home, if additional assistance is needed to complete the workbook pages.
Thursday I will issue literature books. Students are to read "A Mason-Dixon Memory" on pages 206-211. Answer #1-4 on page 213 in complete sentences. Also answer the review the text section. This assignment is due Tuesday, Sept.2.
Reminder the first book report is due Tuesday, Sept.9.
