Happy New Year!!! I am sorry that I have not kept up to date with Schoolnotes. I will try to do better in the second half of the year. I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday break and got some much needed rest.
Upon returning, the students will begin to study, Chapters 6 & 7. They will be studying in detail the Respiratory, Circulatory, Urinary and Digestive systems. They are going to be making a book about the different systems. They will spend about 2-3 weeks on this project during schooltime. They will be getting an assignment paper with the entire project on it.
It is hard to believe that half the school year is almost over. The second quarter ends on January 16th, 2009. Students have an early release day on Thursday, January 15th and no school on Friday, January 16th and Monday, January 19th. This is the time that students need to start focussing on the up and coming practice FCAT test that they will be taking in March. This is to prepare them for the real test next year in Science.
As a reminder, please check your student's agenda as I check them everyday to make sure they write their homework assignment. I give them a stamp or sticker in their agenda for doing that. Please also make sure that your student has their agenda with them. This is a great way to communicate with me. If you have any concerns, please feel free to write me a note in the agenda.
