CALCULUS HONORS– Mrs. Cramer
COURSE PROCEDURES AND EXPECTATIONS
Room 162

GRADING POLICY
•    Your grade will be based on assignments, quizzes, tests, activities, and worksheets.  Work must be shown in order to earn credit at all times. An organized notebook must be kept and brought to class everyday.  A scientific or graphing calculator may be used in and out of class BUT only as directed by the teacher.  The mathematics involved in this course suggests that you purchase a calculator of your own.
•    The Broward County School District adopted grading scale will be used to assign letter grades as follows: 90 - 100 A; 87 - 89 B+; 80 - 86 B; 77 - 79 C+; 70 - 76 C; 67 - 69 D+; 60-66 D; 59 - below  F

EXPECTATIONS AND RULES
•    You must show respect for yourself, others, and the school.  Proper behavior will be consistently expected.
•    Discipline will be handled though verbal reminders and detentions.  The Student Code and Conduct book will be followed so be sure to familiarize yourself with the dress code, attendance policies, tardies, cell phones, etc.
•    In case of an absence, you will be responsible for obtaining any missed work.  It is your responsibility to turn in all makeup work according to School Board Policy.  Class attendance is essential.  You are to obtain permission from the teacher prior to being absent from class due to a school function or another teacher.  Late work not due to a class absence will be given credit only by the discretion of the teacher.
•    Cheating in any form will result in a ZERO for that assignment or exam.  Further consequences may occur.
•    Help outside of class is available afterschool-check with your teacher!
•    Opportunities for extra credit are made available to all students in the course that have followed the Code and Conduct Book and procedures outlined above.  These opportunities will occur throughout the course.  Be sure to avail of these as they are announced in class.
•    If you are absent the day of a quiz or a test, it must be made up on the day of return during class time.  If other arrangements need to be made be sure to speak with the teacher as soon as possible to schedule a make up quiz or test.  Make up quizzes and tests are different from those given to the class.
