Objective: Students will develop word and phrase meanings by utilizing structural analysis and word-relationships.
This week’s Weekly Reading Assignment – Context Clues – Due MONDAY 9/8.
Part. 1: Identify FIVE new words from your reading. Show how the sentence or word structure helps you understand the words.
Part 2: Write a 5-7 sentence summary of your reading for the week. (BE SURE TO INCLUDE: book title, author, pages read, and PARENT SIGNATURE.)
Monday 9/1 - NO SCHOOL – LABOR DAY

1) Warm-Up – (Journal) “What is your ideal vacation?” Describe where, why, when, what and how long. 5-7 sent.

3) Complete VIS Chart (word, context clue, prediction) for all 10 ten words (pg. 9)
4) HOMEWORK: Read for 30 minutes every night!
