REQUESTED SUPPLIES
1. 1" or 1.5" 3-Ring Binder
2. Dividers (binder should have a section for a Science Journal/Science Notes area in the front, followed by sections for each chapter covered)
3. Notebook Filler Paper 3-Hole Punched (please make sure that the line spacing in not excessively wide)
4. Composition Book (this will be used for Science Content based Reading exercises)
5. Blue or Black Pens, and #2 pencils.
6. Either standard clear sheet protectors or a 3-hole Punch (students will be expected to keep all assignments, worksheets, quizzes, and tests in their folder.)
7. Either Colored Pencils or Markers
8. Ruler
Many of these items can and are provided within the class environment; however self reliance and being prepared for any eventuality are important skills.
GLADES MIDDLE SCHOOL RULES
1. Walk in the hallway because running causes disruptions and possible injuries.
2. Keep hands, feet, and other objects to yourself because it prevents injuries and confrontations.
3. Leave gum and candy at home because they may damage your property and your school's property.
4. Arrive on time with school materials because classroom instruction begins on time
5. Behave appropriately because inappropriate behavior may cause conflict, injury, or disruptions.
6. Use proper language and be polite because the shows respect for yourself and others.
7. Leave hats, sunglasses, toys, skateboards, electronic dices, ect. at home because they cause distractions, disruptions, and can be stolen.
8. Alcohol, tobacco, and drugs are NOT allowed because they alter your judgment and cause damage to your overall health.
9. Student ID's must be worn at all times and be visible because it helps the staff identify you in case of emergency and for safety reasons.
10. Dress appropriately according to the Glades Middle School Unified Dress code as well as the Broward County School Board Code of Conduct because it shows respect for yourself, others, and the learning process.
