Reminders:
1. Please read to your child on a daily basis for 30 minutes.
2. No school for Veteran’s Day on November 11, 2009.
3. International Food Festival on November 13, 2009.
4. Please go to Spellingcity.com for additional support in building your child’s spelling skills.

Monday
•Write spelling words 3 times each.
•Illustrate and label a picture of a mountains, valleys, oceans, rivers, lakes, and gulfs on 8 1/2x11 construction paper.
•Read the story “Peg the Hen” from Starfall books.    

Tuesday
•Complete attached “Islands” pg. 8 worksheet.
•Re-read the story “Peg the Hen” from Starfall books.    
•Continue illustrating and labeling a picture of a mountains, valleys, oceans, rivers, lakes, and gulfs on 8 1/2x11 construction paper.

Wednesday
•Complete attached “Peninsula” pg. 93 worksheet.
•Complete attached “Peg” pg. 16 worksheet.

Thursday
•Complete attached “Every sentence has a beginning and an end” pg. 20 worksheet.
•Reread “Peg the Hen” and illustrate what happens first, next, and last.    

Friday  
•Create a sentence for each spelling word.
•Study for spelling test on Monday.
