Welcome to Palmetto Elementary Art SCHOOLNOTES.com. Parents and students will be able to use this tool to help them remember art activities and assignments required for art class. This page will have weekly reminders for homework assignments that will correlate to classroom activities. In most cases these activities will need to be completed prior to the next art class attended so that students will be ready for their new art activities. If unprepared, students will be unprepared for the art activity of the day, and will fall behind in class. Home activities might include observation, completing unfinished class work such as vocabulary, finding images in magazines or images printed from the internet, making a simple sketch for a painting prior to class, or finding out information about an artist. In most cases these activities are for grades 2-5 and can be completed by the student with little or no parental involvement. Art is a wonderful, enjoyable and enriching part of the Palmetto Elementary School curriculum. I hope to have a wonderful and creative year with all of my students!
