Reading for 30 minutes each night will help your child develop stronger reading habits. STUDENTS MAY READ THEIR AR BOOKS SO THEY CAN EARN POINTS WITH QUIZZES! OUR CLASS WANTS TO WIN THE COMPETITION! REV IT UP!
READING is also a required daily home learning activity for all MDCPS students. Fifth Graders are asked to record their reading in their Reading Logs. Logs will be collected at the end of each month. Reading logs are worth two grades in Reading. Children will be rewarded by PIZZA HUT for completing their monthly goals. Don't miss out on the cheesy FUN!
Signed papers are going home every 2 weeks, please review work with your children and sign the form on the envelope. Return the complete packet to the teacher on Mondays. All graded work must return to school in order for children to receive their next packet.
FCAT Explorer is available on-line. Students were given their passwords in September. Children may use 5th grade Math and Science or 4th grade Reading.
