Tkac’s Test Tip: Tkac’s Test Tip: There are two types of stress: 1. Stress at school, and 2. Stress at home. For stress at school there are some things you might try. Please remember that you are unique, so use what works for you. Put things in perspective first but do not put off confronting your problem. Do not panic on tests! Before you even look at the first question, take three to five deep breaths with your eyes closed. Let your arms fall to your side, loosely. Repeat this any time you are panicked.

Chapter 4 Section 4: We will review sections 1, 2, and 3 and then go on to read and discuss section 4 after completion of the Reading Guide. I will also be introducing your 1960's project today.
Home-practice/ Review: Review what we read and discussed in class and complete the back of the worksheet in preparation for a quiz on section 4.
Wednesday: January 19, 2011 Ancient India
Chapter 4 Section 4: We will go over your home-review and you should make corrections and take additional notes at that time in red pen. You will then have time to review before taking the section 4 quiz.
Home-practice/ Review: Review section 4 and predict how you did on the quiz today. Please start reviewing for the test on Ancient India.
Thursday: January 20, 2011 Ancient India
Chapter 4 Review: We will start the review for the test on Monday.
Home-practice/ Review: Study for the test on Monday but reviewing the quizzes from sections 1 through 4, and the Reading Guides and worksheets.
Friday: January 21, 2011 Ancient India
Chapter 4 Review: We will complete the review together today in preparation for the test on Monday.
Home-practice/ Review: Study for your chapter 4 test on Monday. Please make sure to bring a headed sheet of notebook paper with you for the two essay questions. You should also bring a book to read in the event that you complete your test early.

Home-practice/ Review: Review chapter 2 and predict your grade for the test today.
Wednesday: January 19, 2011 Civics in Practice
Chapter 2: We will discuss Fourth Amendment Supreme Court cases and then you will work with a partner to further research one of these cases.
Home-practice/ Review: Complete the Fourth Amendment Supreme Court case paper and have it printed and ready to turn in tomorrow before you come to class. Printing is not done during class for an assignment due that day.
Thursday: January 20, 2011 Civics in Practice
Chapter 2: Turn in your individual Fourth Amendment paper. We will discuss political cartoons again.
Home-practice/ Review: Review what we discussed in class today and complete the political cartoon including the bottom activity.
Friday: January 21, 2011 Civics in Practice
Chapter 2 Review: We will go over the cartoon and then you will turn this into me before we have time to possibly play the Atlas Game today.
Home-practice/ Review: Have a great weekend and make sure that your class notebook is organized.
