Dear Students and Families,

Can you believe I am updating my website for the LAST
time today?
Before I give you all the final details for this
school year, I'd like to take a moment and extend a
SINCERE thank you to my students and their families
for making this a wonderful year! I have truly
enjoyed the personalities of all my students, and I
have loved seeing all the academic growth they have
gone through this year. I honestly believe they are
ready to tackle middle school and succeed while doing
it. Please know I will miss you ALL!
Ok, get your calendars ready. Here's the lineup for
the last 6 days of school...

First, there is NO more homework or tests, but we
will still be learning. This week we will be working
on a play to perform for our kindergarten buddies,
and we will be dissecting our owl pellets. Please
remember to bring in a pair of tweezers for this
activity. We will also be having graduation practice
most mornings, and of course our Growth and
Development movie on Thursday.

Friday afternoon is our class party, along with
Ms. Kephart's class, under the large oak tree out
on the PE field. It will be from 12:30-1:30 and
everyone is invited. Mrs. Vonhof sent home a letter
on what students should bring/wear for this. I will
review that memo with the class this week.

Monday, June 1, is the fifth grade "Clap-Out" at
12:45. Parents, find a good spot in any of the
downstairs hallways or the area leading out to the
PE courts. Our whole school comes out to cheer and
clap for our fifth graders as they parade through
our hallways one last time. Students should wear
their yellow fifth grade t-shirts for this and
bring their yearbooks or an autograph book if they
like. We will end up at the covered PE court for
an icee pop and autographs.

Tuesday, June 2 is the Fifth Grade Graduation
Ceremony from 8:00-10:30 in the cafeteria. This is
a REALLY big deal at MBES, so get there early and
park out back off of Abbey Lake Road. Students should
dress VERY nice...girls in dresses or skirts, boys
in nice pants and a collared shirt. NO JEANS OR
SHORTS! Students should report to class as usual
that morning while you head into the cafeteria.

After graduation, students can be signed out by
their parent on the purple sheets at the back of
the cafeteria. If they are heading to the pre-paid
pool party, students can bring a change of clothes
and change in the locker rooms at the Country Club.
Any student who is not being signed out should
remain in their seat after graduation and will
return to the classroom with me until EARLY DAY
DISMISSAL at 11:40.

If you have any questions regarding wrap-up of
these final days of fifth grade, please do not
hesitate to call me or e-mail me.

I look forward to seeing you at graduation, and
have a wonderful summer!

  Fondly,
Brooke Frahn
