Monday, 5/19: Your response to the films is due Wednesday. Consider these questions: What is man's "search" as indicated in the three films? What do characters like John Merrick or Frederick Treves, Charles Foster Kane, and Ralph/Piggy/Jack seek, and how do they go about their searches? Use specifics from the films and write a 2-3 page response.
Have Native Son read, and have it with you in class. We will discuss Part One, Fear, on Monday.

Wednesday, 5/21: Native Son; Part Three, Fate
Thursday, 5/22: You will have an in-class writing in response to Native Son.
Friday, 5/23: You will have an in-class writing which will serve as your "final" and which will include your final Worldview.

Thursday, 5/22: Vocabulary Unit 15 will be today. Have sentences written when you come to class, and turn them in before the test. We will continue contemporary literature today.
Friday, 5/23: You will have a chance to write a brief response to the contemporary literature we have read and discussed this week. I will give a brief introduction to the novel which we will start discussing on Tuesday, May 27.
