What foods are classified in the packaged food category?
ESE Standards for Life Skills Communication:1, 2, 5, 8, 9, 10    
Students will copy agenda from board.Students will complete Using the Context page bell work CIM:
1.  Show a collage of packaged goods. Ask what section of grocery store items would be found.2. Students will complete Frayer model for specific vocabulary words.   3. Using the book, Supermarket Words, together students will divide the vocabulary words into syllables.  Students will discuss what ingredients are in mayonnaise, types of cooking oil and pasta. Students will work on page 13.  4. The students will get in pairs and will solve logic word problems using reading skills and mathematical concepts using page 14.  5. How do I fish properly?

Social Studies:15, 16, 17    
Students will watch Naughty News and Channel One News on the TV.1. Students will be given their “allowance” for the CBI trip.  They will fill out receipt of how much was received from teacher.  2. After arriving at the Tenoroc State Park, students will choose a fishing pole.  3. Supervisor at park will show students the basics of fishing including how to hold the pole, bait the hook and throw the fish back into the water 4. After the explanation, the students will begin fishing independently.  5. To enter bus to go to the ice cream parlor, students will individually have to summarize to the teacher one detail about fishing.   ** A picnic lunch will be eaten on the grounds and students will clean up when finished***
Period 3    Life Skills Math    
Am I staying within my given budget?    
ESE Standards for life skills math:  2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10
Students will complete Following Directions page bell work.1. Students will count their money for their CBI dessert so they know what their budget is for dessert. 3. After arriving at the local ice cream parlor, Teacher will assist with menu reading and prices 4. Students will describe what they are going to order and evaluate if they are staying within their given budget. 5. To enter bus to go back to school, students will finish receipt and write how much they spent and how much change is left and hand receipt to teacher as “enter” slip!

Students will watch Naughty News and Channel One News on the TV.1. Students will be given their “allowance” for the CBI trip.  They will fill out receipt of how much was received from teacher.  2. After arriving at Interstate Lanes, students will go to the counter and ask for their bowling shoes. Teacher will assist students with obtaining proper bowling ball. 3.Teacher will ask students to explain the proper etiquette of bowling. 4.After the explanation, the students will participate in one game. When finished, the students will evaluate the scores and determine who is the “winner” of the game.  Students will return shoes and pay for their game. 5. To enter bus to go to lunch students will individually have to summarize to the teacher one rule of bowling etiquette.  
Period 3    Life Skills Math

Period 1    Life Skills Communication    
What class work do I have missing or do I need to re-do?
ESE Standards for Life Skills Communication:1, 2, 5, 8, 9, 10    
Students will copy agenda from board.Students will complete Daily Language Review bell workStudents will analyze their folders and graded work to determine what they are missing or need to do again. Teacher will use this period to catch up on any class that we did not get finished during the week.  
Period 2    Career Preparation Social Studies
What is proper etiquette when playing a round of golf?How do I putt?  What is a driver?

Social Studies:15, 16, 17    
Students will watch Naughty News and Channel One News on the TV.1. Students will be given their “allowance” for the CBI trip.  They will fill out receipt of how much was received from teacher.  2. After arriving at Par Three, students will go to counter and receive their golf clubs.  Teacher will assist students in obtaining proper equipment.  3. Students will listen and practice as instructors instruct on the ways to hit the ball properly. 4. After the instruction the students will practice using technique taught. Students will return equipment to proper location. 5. To enter bus to go to lunch students will state one rule or technique learned.
Period 3    Life Skills Math    
Am I staying within my given budget?    
ESE Standards for life skills math:  2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10
1. Students will count their money for their CBI lunch so they know what their budget is for lunch. 3. After arriving at the local fast-food restaurant, Teacher will assist with menu reading and prices 4.Students will describe what they are going to order and evaluate if they are staying within their given budget. 5. To enter bus to go back to school, students will finish receipt and write how much they spent and how much change is left and hand receipt to teacher as “enter” slip!
