Dear Parents,										4/20/09
	When we return, we will be reading Cowboys. We will be learning about Cause and Effect.  We will also be reviewing suffixes.  Please make sure that you child reads every night. When we return, our DIBELS testing will begin.  I want to make sure that all of the students are ready.  Our class goal is that everyone reaches 90 words in 1 minute.  I have promised the kids a pizza party if we can reach that goal.  90 words in 1 minute is tough; however, with practice it can be done. I hope you all have a wonderful Spring Break and a Happy Easter! 

We will begin Chapter 24, Metric Measurement when we return. The test will be on Friday.

In Grammar, we will be furthering our learning on commas.  We will be learning how to use commas in compound sentences. Test will be on Thursday.
