FRIDAY IS THE FAWN FIELD TRIP AT THE HOUSTON RECREATION AREA. TWO DRINKS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR EACH STUDENT AND WE WILL CARRY A SACK LUNCH FROM THE LUNCHROOM. IF YOUR CHILD WOULD LIKE, HE OR SHE MAY BRING A SNACK TO EAT SOMETIME DURING THE DAY. THE FORESTRY SERVICE WILL ALSO GIVE EACH CHILD A T-SHIRT THAT WE WILL WEAR THAT DAY!
Please send BOXTOPS for education to school. Our classroom will receive 10 cents for each one.
PLEASE NOTICE: Students must get parent signatures daily on their reading log. Students should be bringing home their reading folder every day, Monday through Thursday. Please sign the log instead of sending notes and please don't ask me, unless it is a very unique situation, to go back and change your child's grade. It is not fair to the other students who have forgotten to get their reading logs signed. I am not doing this to be mean, but simply to teach your child to take responsibility for his/her school work.
Reading: "Dinosaur Ghosts"
Your child will take a test on our story for the week on Friday. Some students really need to reread the story at home and will be receiving an extra homework slip for parents to sign. Please help them with this.
Science: Catastrophic Events AMSTI Unit
Language Arts: Mon.-Wed. Possessive Nouuns and Thurs. we will work on an "All About Me Essay"
I will take a grade on some of the work that we complete in class.
