Reading
We will complete our literature circles books and projects related to our reading.
Each student must also earn 7 AR points for the nine week grading period.
Congratulations to the following students who have earned 100 AR points this year!! They have earned a special free afternoon field trip on May 21st !!! Briley - Bryanna - Ashley - Kurtis - Tori - Jake and Willow!!!
Congratulations to Savannah and Asilynn!! They have already earned 200 AR points! They also have earned the free field trip!!!!!! I am so proud of you!!
Math
We will review multiplication tables and basic division and multiplication.
Social Studies
We will complete our projects on the Vietnam war, Persian Gulf war, War in Iraq, President Nixon and Watergate and 9-11/terrorism. Students will present thier projects on Wednesday or Thursday.
NOTES
No school on Monday, May 26th for Memorial Day.
We are working on our line dance each morning so please have students here everyday if possible so that they will have the same opportunity to learn the steps. I appreciate it so much!!
Mrs. Gilliland and I will issue "Who's Who" awards on Friday, May 23rd at 1:00. We are providing the snack food as our treat but students can purchase their drink at the snack store. Parents are invited to attend. We will probably issue these outside if weather permits.
Sixth grade graduation will be on Tuesday, May 27th from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. Here's the details! We will need to arrive about 10 to 15 minutes early to get you in line to walk in. They may wear regular clothes, casual is fine. We will perform a line dance to "Life is a Highway". A slide show will be presented and then diplomas will be issued. Students will exit.
Tony's School of Music will have a concert/recital on Friday, May 23rd at 8:30 a.m.
