Mrs. Farley's Class List
Please go over spelling and vocabulary words with your child nightly. We will print these words and go over in class as well.
**Please read library book nightly. Students take Accelerated Reader tests on the computer in the classroom. This A.R. test is used to check students' comprehension of what they have read. They are asked questions about their library book. Students are scored with 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, or 100% based on how many question they miss.
Later on in the year, I will take grades from A.R. tests that will be averaged in their reading grade.
We are just beginning to learn how to take A.R. tests, so don't be alarmed if your child makes a low % right now.
We are beginning to work toward your child reading independently. It will be so exciting watching and listening to your child's reading skills grow.}
