MATH TEST - We have begun working on multiplication facts. We will have a test Friday, September 30 on the 0-5 times tables. Scores on these tests will be put in the gradebook and will help make their report card grades. They can pull a math average down in a hurry. Multiplication tables are very important in working math. They should be studied for a few minutes each and every night. Please encourage your child to learn them. Learning these are mostly up to students and their parents. The 0s and 1s are easy and the 2s are doubles. The 3s and 4s are hard and should be reviewed nightly. The 5s are easy to count. This is a timed test. Students have 5 seconds per problem. Facts will be mixed up, not in order.
Test Friday 0-6
Students should study SPELLING and practice printing words each night. Learning spelling words is mostly up to them and their parents. We do some work at school with the spelling words, however for the most part, students should learn these at home with your help.

Thank you for helping them with these tasks. Even though I don't give written homework, these tasks are just as important. I don't give written homework so they will have time to work on things like this - just a few minutes each and every night. Sometimes they may be expected to complete at home unfinished classroom assignments.
