Thanks for all the bingo prizes and candy for the Fall Festival....BIG THANKS.......... Carnival is Nov. 10th...... We will have the Harvest Festival this Tuesday Night and we will not have school on Wednesday.
Our books were sent off today to be published. It should take about 3-4 weeks before we will be getting them back. Your child will be getting a free book.
There will not be any homework or any tests given this week except for the "End-of-the Unit" tests. Next week, we will continue with our regular schedule.
Please look at all notes, especially inside folders and B-Binders. Please sign and return all forms A.S.A.P. FUN FRIDAY folders will come home every Friday...for you to look at, discuss with your child, sign and return on Mondays. Please empty B Binders every night.
B Binders come home every day with homework, class work, notes to parents, etc. Please send them back every day. Other work should be look at-discussed and emptied every night. THIS IS IMPORTANT! Your child needs to know that you are interested in what they do everyday at school. Please notice that I try to grade all test papers and send them home on the day your child takes the test. Some of these need to be signed and returned the next day. If your child is having a problem in any subject, I feel, that your attention and MINE needs to be given immediately.
Please log in 30 min. of reading every night in Home Reading Logs. These Logs come to me every Friday for a reading Grade - 120 Min. weekly. Continue to time-read with them (one-minute timed reading test.)I have about three students who are on the verge of making a bad grade in reading because they will not log in their reading every night and bring their home Reading Log to school on Fridays. Also...your child should be reading their Library-AR Books every night ready to take a test the next day.
MY planning period is from 12:25 to 1:05. You can write me a note and put it in their B-Binders - I will answer the same day - OR if needed, we can have a teacher-parent meeting.
