Grades 6 - 8 Spelling tests will be on Friday
this week. Please encourage your child to study
their spelling words each night for homework.
5th Grade Language Arts class will begin their Verbs Unit this week. We will study action verbs and
direct objects.
6th Grade Language Arts class will continue in
their Verbs Unit this week. We will focus on action
verbs, direct objects, and indirect objects. We will
also be doing diagramming on the skills we learn.
7th and 8th Grade English classes will continue
in their Adjectives Unit this week. We will be
categorizing adjectives and learning to expand and
enhance our writing skills with adjectives.
6th Grade Reading class will be reviewing for a
Unit Test which will be on Friday. Please encourage your child to study some for this test each night.
7th Grade Reading class will be reading "Kids in
Action" and "An Hour with Abuelo" this week. They will
also be doing related vocabulary and comprehension
activities with these selections.
All students should read some in their AR books
each night for homework. We want everyone to reach their point goals this nine weeks grading period.
