          Tuesday: D.O.L.
                   Capitalizing & Punctuating Sentences

          Wednesday: Vocabulary Building
                      D.O.L.
    
          Thursday: D.O.L.
                    Review Unit 1 for Test

          Friday: D.O.L.
       Test on Unit 1            
                

                 (Reading Class)

2nd Period--  3rd Period--  4th Period--
    
      *** Students will begin having a SPELLING TEST each week on Friday.  I will give them a list of the words on Monday of each week.  Please encourage them to study these words each night.  

      ***Students will be given a list of their vocabulary words and the meanings on Monday of each week for the story of the week.  We will review over these in class each day.  However, they may need to study over them at night.  

      DRA (Daily Reading Activity)--We will do one each day in class.

      Story:  Island of the Blue Dolphins- We will work on various Reading skills. ( Plot, Characters, Using Prior Knowledge, Vocabulary Words, Comprehension)  
                      
     ***Students will have a test on the story each Friday, unless told otherwise.
    
**** Students need to read at least 20 minutes on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.  It can be a book, magazine, newspaper, etc.
