READING
April 1st
THis week we are learning letter Xx and the/ks/ sound. We will be testing for report card as well as letting ready for the DIBELS test at the end of this month. Some students are still learning the list of the most 100 used high-frequency words. Some of those words are the high-frequency words from our reading series, but several are not. I am going to add 20 words at a time because everyone is doing so well. I will let you know each Friday or the following Monday how they did on the sight word test.
I am also sending home small decodable readers for your child to practice reading. The books will be sent home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please send them back the following day. Your child will not be allowed to get another book until they have returned their book. Please keep the book in the zipper pouch so the book does not get damaged or dropped. Thanks for helping your child in this wonderful process of learning how to read.
