Hello, Parents!
In Social Studies we are discussing Unit 1: People and Places. We are discussing biographies of famous people and identifying map elements (title, legend, scale, continents, oceans, equator, etc.). We are also discussing rights and responsibilities of U.S. citizens. Practice sheets will be sent home for you to review the skills your child has learned in class. (These will be sheets already completed in class.)

Hello, Parents! STAR Reading and STAR Math will be this week. Your child will be in my class during these tests. You will be notified about your child’s reading teacher when testing is complete. There may be changes once testing is complete. This week we’re reading Exploring Space in the basal. See the attached “Family Times” Letter. A spelling list and reading vocabulary list was sent home last week. Please practice the words for this week. The reading test is Thursday and the spelling test is Friday.

This week in Math Class we are completing Chapter 6: Subtraction Strategies. Please help by reviewing basic math facts with your child. We will start Chapter 1: Numbers to 100. We will also be doing AMSTI hands on activities.
