Starfall great for letter and sound recognition, as well as reading.
September 29- October 3
This week we will be studying the letter a and its sounds. The words have and is will be introduced and students will begin sounding out words that have short a in the middle. In math, we will finish our chapter on patterns. We have now learned how to make and continue AB, ABC, AAB, ABB, and AABB patterns.
In science and social studies we will talk about the fall season. Friday we learned about Johnny Appleseed! .
I enjoyed meeting with you Monday. Mrs. Byson, our room mother, will be contacting some of you soon about what we need for the Halloween party. If she does not ask you to send something for that, she will ask you for Christmas or Easter.
Tomorrow we will have a special visitor at our school! Governer Riley will be at our school for several hours. He is not scheduled to come to our class, but who knows! If your child has a Pine Level shirt, please let him/her wear it.
Don't forget field trip money is due Friday October 3. You also need to send in a white t shirt for us to paint.
