1.  Use only one spelling word per sentence.
2.  Underline the spelling word in each sentence.
3.  Use correct capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.
4.  Do not begin any sentence with a pronoun.  Identify the noun.
    Example:  slippery
It was slippery.
The icy highway was slippery and caused my car to spin.

    Example: smother
He likes to smother his eggs with ketchup.

My annoying little brother likes to smother his eggs with ketchup.

5.  Each sentence must consist of at least 5 words.
6.  All spelling work must be done using cursive writing.
7.  Use appropriate details to show understanding of the word.
•Include elaboration in each sentence.  Use details of who, where, what, when, and why. Try to include as many as you can, without making a run-on sentence.
*Example:      bicycle
